Venue Highlight: Arlyn Studios

Founded by musician and Grammy-nominated industry veteran Freddy Fletcher in 1984, Arlyn quickly emerged as Austin’s most popular commercial recording facility, attracting artists from around the globe.

Some of the industry’s most legendary artists have recorded here, including: Willie Nelson, Ray Charles, Sublime, Neil Young and Les Paul (just to name a few)!

In 2012, Freddy and Lisa Fletcher reopened Arlyn as a commercial studio. Since its re-launch, Arlyn has welcomed back many of its original supporters, including Austin native Willie Nelson!

The studio is situated in the heart of the city and offers 3 distinct recording spaces, garnering the attention of a bourgeoning new generation of musicians nationwide. 

We personally love to use the space for private dinners, bumping after parties, or even a small conference sessions. Any excuse to hang out with Lisa.

Recently, we transformed the space for a one-of-a-kind general session.

We confirmed it was the first time Arlyn Studio’s historic space was used in this way. After guests broke for lunch we split them into teams, each lead by a local lead singer — and every group wrote and recorded a song onsite at the historic venue!
